How are students selected to receive scholarships?

Applications are reviewed by the Scholarship Committee of the Board and the Board makes the final determination regarding who will receive scholarship based on the criteria and funds available.

Selection criteria:

  • Each applicant or such applicants parent must reside in or have resided in South Sudan in the past 20 years.
  • Each applicant must fully, accurately, and truthfully complete the application.
  • Each applicant must have a reference who must fully, accurately, and truthfully complete the reference questions.
  • No applicant can be the child of a sponsor.
  • Each applicant must have and continue to have acceptable academic achievement as determined by the Board.
  • Each applicant must have and continue to have financial need as determined by the Board.
  • Each applicant must agree to, and must "give back" by contributing to the applicants country, community and/or church.
  • Each applicant must be enrolled or must be expected to enroll full-time in an accredited education facility.
